Guidance and FAQs for Attending In Person

Q. How do I get to the conference venue?
The conference venue is located 5km from Malaga city centre and 9km from the Airport.

Car Parking: the FYCMA has 1200 free parking spaces.

Arriving by car or taxi: the journey time from the city centre is 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi fare is approximately €8 from the city centre.

Transfers from the FYCMA to Málaga City Centre on 5 and 6 May:  There will be transfers at the end of the conference day on Thursday 5 May and Friday 6 May from the FYCMA to Málaga City Centre. Transfers will leave at 1830hrs and 1900hrs. Places will be limited on these coaches.

Getting to FYCMA by bus: bus numbers 4 and 20 go to and from the city centre and stop close to the FYCMA (see below).  For details on the schedule and stops visit:

Q. How do I get to and from the Airport?
Malaga Airport is 12km from the city centre and 9km from the FYCMA.  There are direct train and bus services from the airport to the city centre - further information can be found here.  
A taxi to / from the airport costs approximately €20 to the city centre and €15 to the FYCMA.

Q. How do I get my badge?
Please download and print your badge from the email sent in advance of the conference.  Invited speakers should collect their badge from the conference registration desk on arrival.   Any sessions for which you pre-registered are detailed on the reverse of your badge.

Q. When will I receive my certificate?
Attendance Certificates will be sent by email after the conference.  Your delegate fee must be paid in order to receive your certificate.

Poster Certificates will be emailed to the presenting author after the conference. 
Any co-authors requiring certificates should email with details to request their certificate.

Q. Is there a cloakroom and luggage store at the venue?
A complimentary cloakroom and luggage store will be located outside Auditorium 1.  Opening times:
Thursday 5 May: 1130hrs – 1930hrs | Friday 6 May: 0745hrs – 1900hrs | Saturday 7 May: 0900hrs – 1500hrs

Q. I have booked the conference dinner - how can I get my ticket? 
If you have booked a ticket to attend the conference dinner please collect this from the conference registration desk at the FYCMA.
The conference dinner will be held at the Gran Hotel Miramar (Paseo de Reding, 22-24, 29016 Málaga) on Friday 6 May at 2000hrs.

Q. Will simultaneous interpretation be available at the conference?
Simultaneous interpretation from English to Spanish or Spanish to English is available in all sessions taking place in Auditorium 2 and Conference Room 1. Please collect a headset at the entrance to the room.

Q. Do I need to wear a mask?
We request that you wear a mask for the duration of the conference.

Q. Is WiFi available at the venue?
Free WiFi is available.  Please join the network IPCRG Conference and use password malaga2022.

Q. What are the COVID-19 requirements for entering the conference?
All attendees to the IPCRG 11th World Conference must be fully vaccinated.  Full details on the requirement can be found here.
